James (Jim) W. Seidenberger, age 73, of Royersford, PA died on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Phoenixville Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Victoria (Kurteson) Seidenberger, daughter Carolyn M. Martinez (Philadelphia), nieces Lisa King, Pamela Irizarry, and Kim Stein and nephews Peter Seidenberger and Jay Minnick. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, August and Anna (Evrard) Seidenberger, brothers August and David Seidenberger, and sister Jean Seidenberger, all of Bethlehem PA.
Jim was born in Fountain Hill, PA. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, (Easton, PA) and attended Moravian College (Bethlehem, PA) where he obtained a BS in Chemistry. He also took post graduate courses at Lafayette College (Easton, PA) and the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA). He was a Research Chemist and Product Development Manager at Baker Chemical Company until his retirement. During his long career, he obtained 17 patents for chemical spill safety kits and the Bag-a-Bug Japanese Beetle and Gypsy Moth Traps. Jim also actively served in the Strategic Air Command branch of the US Air Force from 1966 until 1970, attaining the rank of Staff Sargent. He belonged to the American Chemical Society and served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Providence Forge HOA. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Royersford, PA.
Family and friends will be received at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., on Tuesday, December 26 from 6:30 until 8:30 PM and on Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM. At 11 AM, the Funeral Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, Lewis Rd and Walnut St, Royersford, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Tadeusz Gorka. Immediately following will be burial at the Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St., Bethlehem, PA.
