Jane (Knox) Ferriss, 77, of Phoenixville, wife of William C. Ferriss, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2008, in the Phoenixville Hospital.? Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Phyllis (Pratt) Knox.?
Mrs. Ferriss was a 1948 graduate of Lower Merion High School.? She was employed in accounts receivable at the former Tarrytown Hardware and then at Kimberton Whole Foods, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Spring City.? A crafty lady, Mrs. Ferriss attended horticulture classes at the vo-tech school, loved arranging flowers, quilting, sewing, and had an eye for decorating.? She also helped decorate for the Chester County Holiday House Tour, enjoyed watching old movies, and spending time with her grandchildren.?
In addition to her loving husband of 56 years, Mrs. Ferriss is survived by daughters Susan Weber of Shickshinny, PA and Peggy wife of Chris Cuthbert of Phoenixville, son Mark, husband of Christine Ferris of Royersford, brothers John Knox of West Chester and William Knox of New Jersey, and eight grandchildren, Chris, Brian, Andy, Mark, Logan, Rosie, Alec, and Isla, one nieces, two nephews, and a beloved and faithful friend, Kipper.? She was preceded in death by a son, Billy and nephew Bill Knox.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 952 Bethel Church Road, Spring City, on Friday, June 13, at 1 PM.? Officiating will be the Rev.
