Janet P. (Umstead) DePietropaolo, age 87, wife of the late Russell P. DePietropaolo, married for 64 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in Frederick Living - Magnolia House, of Zieglerville, PA. Born on September 17, 1932 in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late T. Leroy Umstead and Viola (Erb).

Janet was a graduate of the former Spring City High School and a lifelong resident of Royersford. Janet had been a member of the former Spring City United Methodist Church from her childhood until its closing. She had various jobs throughout her lifetime, but was most happy being a homemaker. She enjoyed bus trips to musicals with her girlfriends and traveling with her husband, especially vacations to Cape May, NJ. Janet loved time spent with her children and grandchildren, always enjoying family dinners and traditions.

Mrs. DePietropaolo is survived by her children: Russell P. "Rusty," husband of Cynthia (Yocum) DePietropaolo, of Spring City; Jean Ann DePietropaolo, of Royersford, and Lisa A., (DePietropaolo) wife of Robert "Thom" Heck, of Gilbertsville; grandchildren: Michael, husband of Sarah DePietropaolo, Kendra, (Heck) wife of Andrew Rothermel, Robert Heck, Jr. and Joshua Heck; great-grandson: Remy DePietropaolo; and sister: Dorothy Boettger, of Spring City. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers: Thomas Umstead, Franklin "Wimp" Umstead and Raymond Umstead.

The family would like to thank the staff of Frederick Living--Magnolia House and Crossroads Hospice for their kind-heartedness and help during Janet's lengthy illness.
