Janet (Theobald) Gronwaldt, age 84, wife of Claus Gronwaldt, of Hawley, PA, formerly of Audubon, PA, died peacefully Monday, September 25, 2017 at Sunrise of Paoli. Born on May 28, 1933 in Honesdale, PA, she was a daughter of Edwin and Charlotte (Driscoll) Theobald Hahn and Step-daughter to Forrest Hahn. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School and Moses Taylor Hospital. Mrs. Gronwaldt worked as a Nurse at Norristown Surgical Associates, Eagleville Hospital, SCI Graterford and Waymart before retiring. A lifetime member of The Friends of Valley Forge, she enjoyed traveling, quilting and baking for her family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 63 years, Mrs. Gronwaldt is survived by two sons, Robert C., husband of Janet (Jackson) Gronwaldt of Eureka Springs, AR, Eric G., husband of Donna (Brown) Gronwaldt of Audubon, PA; Six Grandchildren, Kevin Gronwaldt, Megan Gronwaldt, Amanda Gronwaldt, Sarah Gronwaldt, Jacob Gronwaldt, Niclaus Gronwaldt; and Sister, Marjorie (Theobald) Mellody of Winston Salem, NC; . Mrs. Gronwaldt was pre-deceased by brothers, Louis (and Susan d'd.) and Robert (and Patricia) Theobald.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 2725 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1pm. Officiating will be Rev. William R. Mueller. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org) or Philabundance (https://www.philabundance.org).
