Janet M. Runyan, age 80, wife of the late John A. Runyan, of Spring City, PA died early Thursday morning, July 11, 2013 in the Columbia Cottage, Collegeville, PA. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late C. Lloyd Bertolet and Catherine A. (Bechtel) Bertolet. She was a 1951 graduate of the Royersford High School. Mrs. Runyan worked as a medical secretary in the pathology department of the Phoenixville Hospital. She sang for many years with the "Melody Maids" choral group in Pottstown. She also worked as a secretary at the East Vincent Elementary School.

Mrs. Runyan is survived by three children: Barry L. Runyan, of Connecticut; Steven A., husband of Lisa Runyan, of Picture Rocks, PA; Nancy J., wife of Brian Short, of Audubon, PA; two sisters: B. Arlene Ibach, of Royersford; Sandra A., wife of Arthur Plumley, of Barto, PA; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Jonathan F. Peters. Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 7:00 - 8:30PM Monday evening or from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
