Janet P. Mahoney, age 62, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at home. Born on February 24, 1959 in Sheffield, England, she was a daughter of the late Royden and Maureen (Fildes) Beniston.

Janet was a graduate of Exeter University in the United Kingdom, receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. She moved with her family to the United States in 1994, and applied her leadership and organizational skills in several management positions for GlaxoSmithKline and Bristol-Myers Squibb pharmaceutical companies. Through her work, she ensured that employees of these companies around the world would be prepared for any possible disaster.

Unrivaled as a mother, Janet was always a source of helpful advice and kind reassurance. Pursuing her love of traveling, she and her family enjoyed spending time together at vacation destinations from Cape Cod to Antigua. Her children will fondly remember afternoons spent together cheering for the Eagles or playing one of their favorite family board games, even though wins against her were hard to come by. When not out exploring local restaurants and breweries with her friends, she could often be found at home working on one of her many artistic projects, from cross-stitch sewing to acrylic painting, or most recently cultivating her backyard garden.

Janet is survived by two children, Elaine J. Mahoney, fiancée of Raul Brown, of Birmingham, AL and Andrew R. Mahoney of Atlanta, GA; one brother, David (Phil) Beniston of Weedon, England; and one nephew, Thomas Beniston. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kate A. Mahoney. She will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA at 11:00 am. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.
