Janice L. " Jackie" (Svetich) Poteete Moody, age 83, wife of David G. Moody, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 in Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Pottstown, South Coventry. Born on October 29, 1936 in Lewistown, Montana, she was a daughter of the late Melba (Mabis) and Peter Svetich.

Shortly after graduating high school in Montana, Janice and her sister spent a few years in Erie, PA, until she ended up setting down in Royersford. She had been employed at a few local factories and then at Manatawny Manor, in East Coventry for around 10 years. Janice lost her first husband in 1984 and was remarried in 1989. She was active at the gym, enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening and was an avid reader. Most importantly, she was a compassionate caregiver for anyone that needed help.

In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by her children: Michael (Dorothy) Poteete, of Royersford, PA, Theresa (Jay) Baldwin, of Berwyn, PA and John Poteete, of Royersford, PA; grandchildren: Benjamin, Jeff, and J.D. Baldwin and Nicole Poteete; great-grandchildren: Evie and Wes Baldwin; step-son: LaRue Moody, of Danville, VA; and step-grandson: Andrew Moody. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Edward D. Poteete; a son: Timothy Poteete, and seven siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 11:00 am at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania. Officiating will be Deacon George S. Harmansky. Inurnment will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janice's name to the Royersford Fire Department, 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA 19468.
