Jean C. "Clarice" Bowman, age 86, of Malvern, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on December 7, 1937 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of George and Mary (Brown) Bowman.

Clarice graduated from Conestoga High School. She retired after working more than 30 years in the accounting department at Devereux. She then continued to work during retirement for RE/MAX Main Line in Kimberton and Paoli.

Clarice was an active member of St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ in Chester Springs, where she was involved with the sewing circle. She was also a very active member of the Chester Valley Grange #1496 in Malvern. She loved music and was an avid piano and organ player. The music room in her home contained a multi-pedal organ and a baby grand piano that she played regularly. She enjoyed attending concerts, taking bus trips and day-trips to Lancaster to shop the markets, and looked forward annually to attending the Philadelphia Flower Show and the Devon Horse Show. She was an avid collector of antiques, always on-the-go, and she enjoyed a social calendar of friend gatherings throughout the years.

Clarice is survived by many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ, 1193 Clover Mill Road, Chester Springs, PA on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Douglas Hanson. Burial will follow in the Great Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Malvern, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Chester Valley Grance #1496, 311 Trythall Road, Elverson, PA 19520.
