Jean Russell Morrison, age 78, wife of John S. Morrison, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at home. Born on May 11, 1944 in Bootle, Liverpool, England, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Edna (Maxwell) Roberts.

Jean was a graduate of Balliol Road Secondary School, and received her degree from the Mabel Fletcher Technical College in Liverpool. She worked as professional baker/chef for several years before focusing on raising her children. She coached youth sports while still in England at Spellow Lane Church, and followed with positions coaching Field Hockey at the Delaware County Christian School and The Shipley School.

Prior to moving to the United States in 1977, she and her first husband, David Russell, operated a Christian oriented coffee house focused on youth development. A devout believer and follower of Jesus Christ, Jean was a faithful member of the Church of Acts in Ambler, PA, where she taught Sunday School, and most recently of the Trinity Lighthouse Church in Royersford, PA.

Jean was a skilled calligrapher who used that art form as often as she could. She baked and decorated cakes and cookies for family and friends. Jean also had a life-long love of dachshunds, owning and breeding them for many years.

In addition to her husband John, Jean is survived by her children, Michelle, wife of John Then of Raleigh, NC, Sharron Russell, wife of Christopher Derer of Abington, PA, Alisha Morrison of Royersford, PA, and Jasmine Morrison Wilson, wife of Michael Wilson of Wilmington, DE; her loving foster daughter, Laura Murtaugh of Newark, DE; grandchildren, Alexandra, Tyler, Shawn, and John Jaylin; one brother, Kenneth Roberts, husband of Valerie of Southport, Liverpool, England; and three nieces, Heather Lally, Christine Last, and Judith Carmichael; her first husband, David Russell, sister-in-law, Vivian Russell, and two nieces, Maddy Templeman and Lisa Milward; as well as adoring family on John's side: her mother-in-law Betty Morrison of Philadelphia, PA; brother-in-law, Gregory, husband of Brenda Morrison; nieces Mercedes and Chanel Morrison; and a great niece Akari.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28th, with visitation at 6pm and a service at 7pm at Trinity Lighthouse Church, 66 S Limerick Rd, Royersford, PA 19468. The service will be streamed and recorded on the following sites:
