Jean Doebling Yanchek, 92, wife of the late Martin "Chick" Yanchek, of Phoenixville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 5, 2018. Born on June 10, 1925 in Phoenixville, she was the only child of the late Maude (Weinberg) and Herman S. Doebling.

Jean was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, Class of 1943, where she was a member of the reunion committee. An avid bridge player, she played in a club with high school classmates for over 50 years, as well as other local clubs in recent years. She had been employed in the office of the West Co. Jean enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Bermuda, which they visited many times. She had also been a member of the Phoenixville Women's Club, West Company Retirees Club, and the Phoenixville Historical Society.

Mrs. Yanchek is survived by her children: Mark "Sid" (Judith A.) Yanchek of Mont Clare and Robin Y. (Craig P.) Emery, of Phoenixville, grandchildren: Jane (Dennis) Quinn, Suzanne (Ryan) Hemenway, Katherine Yanchek, Mark Yanchek, Jr., Allison Emery, Martin (Betty) Emery and Brett Emery; and great-grandchildren: Sawyer Hemenway, Rhett Hemenway, Kelly Quinn and Molly Quinn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Inurnment will follow in The Columbarium Garden at St. John's. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 11:00 am.
