Joan E. Gimber, age 72, of Barto, PA passed away early Sunday morning, November 23, 2014 in the Coventry Manor, South Coventry Township. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Marie J. (Restuccia) Gimber.

Joan was a devout Catholic. She was a lover of all animals, especially birds and dogs. With her own 6 dogs, she was very generous and supported many animal charities. She enjoyed shopping in Peddler's Village and Lancaster and spending time with her two Grandsons. She was also a classic movie buff with her favorites being John Wayne and Lana Turner.

Joan is survived by one son, Chuck, husband of Becky Benz of Skippack; and two grandsons, Chad and Aaron Benz. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles N. Benz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6:30-8:00 PM. Burial will take at the Fairview Cemetery, 1100 E. Broad Street, Westfield, NJ 07091 on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 12:00 PM.
