Joan Agnes (McGinley) Hill, age 80, wife of the late Frederick B. Hill, of Norristown died early Monday morning, September 29th, 2008 in her home.? Born in Jim Thorpe, PA, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Agnes (Huber) McGinley.? She was a 1945 graduate of the Mauchunk Catholic High School in Jim Thorpe, and a 1949 graduate of the Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School?? Mrs. Hill worked as a Registered Nurse and Supervisor at the Norristown State Hospital for over 23 years.? She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Norristown.? She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Lehighton, PA.?
Mrs. Hill is survived by one daughter; Joan, wife of Christopher Mork, of Norristown, one son; Frederick C., husband of Paula Hill, of King of Prussia, PA, four grandchildren; Fred J. Hill, Haley, Kelly, and Christa Mork, and several nieces and nephews.? Mrs. Hill was pre-deceased by two sisters; Mary McElmoyle, Rose McGinley, three brothers; James, Daniel and John McGinley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the ?St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, Marshall and Buttonwood Streets, Norristown, PA 19401 on Thursday morning, October 2nd, 2008 at 10:30AM.? Officiating will be Rev. Vincent F. Welsh.? Burial will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Norristown.? Friends will be received from 9:00 - 10:15 AM, Thursday morning at the Church.?
