Joan M. Landes vanVuuren, age 69, of Phoenixville, PA died Thursday afternoon, May 26, 2011 in the Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Alvin S. Landes and Mari Baum Landes. Mrs. Landes vanVuuren was a gradtuate of the St. Pius X High School in Pottstown, PA. She worked for over 30 years as an administrator for the Schuylkill Township.

Mrs. Landes vanVuuren is survived by one sister; Adrienne Landes Kirk, wife of Vincent L. Kirk, of Kimberton, PA, one brother; Barry George Landes, husband of the late Margaret C. Landes, of Boyertown, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Landes vanVuuren was pre-deceased by her infant son; Peter G. vanVuuren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Burial will be in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 10:45 AM Wednesday morning at the Church.
