Joan Marie Snyder, 72, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of Kenneth E. Snyder Sr., to whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

She was born in Phoenixville to the late John and Anna Pandjak Katancik. Joan was a 1957 graduate of Phoenixville High School and a 1959 graduate of Jefferson Medical College Hospital, Department of Radiology. She was employed as an X-Ray technician at Phoenixville Hospital and as an aide at Perkiomen Valley School District until her retirement.

Joan was a devoted and faithful member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Christian Church. She loved crafts, crocheting, and playing cards with her "Lunch Bunch".

In addition to her husband she is survived by her childen: Deborah Anne Labick and husband Walter, William Paul Snyder and wife Robin, Kathryn M. Smiley and fiancé Robert Teaford, Kenneth E. Snyder Jr. and wife Sue; sisters: Nancy Halladay and husband Nicholas and Theresa Ott; brother: J. Thomas Katancik and wife Sue Ellen; grandchildren: Morgan, Matthew, Erin, Zachary, Elisabeth and William; great-grandchildren: Dylan and Damian.

Divine Liturgy will be offered for Joan on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10 AM at Holy Ghost Orthodox Christian Church, Starr and Bridge Sts., Phoenixville, PA. Officiating will be the Very Rev. Protopresbyter John R. Fedornock. Viewing hours will be on Sunday evening 7-9 PM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main St. at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA and at Holy Ghost Church on Monday from 9-9:45 AM. Panachida will be on Sunday evening at 7 PM.
