Joan (Rowan) Quay, wife of the late William M. Quay Sr., of Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday morning, November 26, 2015 in the Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville. Born on September 19, 1932 in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy (Heistand) and John Rowan.

Mrs. Quay had been employed as a rater for Allstate Insurance Company and later for Reliance Insurance Company. She had also worked as a cafeteria aide at Charlestown Elementary School. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading, but most importantly, she loved time spent with her family.

Mrs. Quay is survived by a son, William M. Quay Jr., husband of Sandra Ryback, of Waynesboro, VA; two daughters, Beth A., wife of Patrick Conway, of Phoenixville, and Amy J. Quay, of Phoenixville; four grandchildren, Robert C. Quay, Elizabeth M. Thompson, Brianna R. Quay and Ryan P. Conway; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Friday.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
