Joan Eileen Spiece, age 75, Wife of the late Kenneth Spiece, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Pottstown Hospital, Pottstown, PA. Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Wiand) and Roy Hall.

Joan was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts, class of '68. She then studied nursing at the Central Chester County Vo-Tech School of Practical Nursing. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 45 years, retiring at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Center.

Joan lived a life in service to her community. She served as a Girl Scout troop leader, she volunteered at church, she worked on crews to fix homes of those who could not do so themselves, and she cleaned and sorted shoes at a local non-profit, In Ian's Boots. She spent weekends restoring lighthouses on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Joan loved camping, kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing. She loved to travel, and her adventurous spirit always had her dreaming of the next trip.

She is survived by her children Matthew Spiece, and Marie Casey, her granddaughter Allison Casey, and her brother, Harold Hall. She was preceded in death by her Husband Kenneth Spiece, and her parents Roy Hall and Dorothy Hall.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1394 Bethel Church Road, Spring City, Pennsylvania on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Bethel UMC, Spring City, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Bethel United Methodist Church.
