Joann M. (Hijosh) Brunner, age 74, wife of Harry L. Brunner Sr., of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in the Lankenau Hospital, Wynnewood. Born on July 6, 1948 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Margaret (Myers) and Michael Hijosh Sr.
Joann attended schools in Woodbridge, New Jersey and Spring Ford School in Royersford. She had been employed in the clerical department at WAI in Royersford prior to working as a private duty nurse's aid for 13 years in Chester and Montgomery counties. She had been a longtime member of Grace Assembly of God, Spring City.
She and Harry were longtime residents of the Royersford area, having resided in the area from 1959 - 1995, until they moved to Pottstown. Joann loved time spent at the beach, which was her favorite place. She always had a positive attitude and never complained, but most importantly, she loved her family and her faith.
In addition to her loving husband, Joann is survived by her children: Lucretia, wife of John Parker, of Birdsboro, Harry L. Brunner Jr., of Linfield and William, husband of Kim Brunner, of Pottstown; siblings: Barbara Powell, of Spring City and Michael Hijosh Jr., of Gilbertsville; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her celebration of life on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00 am at her daughter's home, 256 Colorado Drive, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
