Obituary

Joanne Grace (Ebert) Pyott, 77, of Lansdale, PA, passed away Saturday June 11, 2016 after a brief illness. Joanne was born June 14, 1938, in Hegins, Schuylkill County, PA to the late Iva and Webster Ebert. She graduated from Tri-Valley High School in Valley View, PA, and earned her BA in Psychology from Penn State University and MA in Psychology from Temple University.

She was a practicing licensed psychologist until shortly before her death. Nothing gave her more joy and satisfaction than helping others through her work. In recent years, as Joanne began decreasing the size of her practice she became increasingly active in her church, St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Wales, PA. She was especially involved in collecting food donations for Manna on Main Street in Lansdale. She was also involved in supporting local politics. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and skyping with her family in the Netherlands.

Joanne was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Long Pyott III and infant brother, Earl Theodore Ebert. She is survived by her daughter Sonja Pyott van Tuinen, her son-in-law, Marcel van Tuinen, her 3 grandchildren, Nils, Maya and Luke of Groningen, The Netherlands; her sister Dena Jane Schlegel and her companion George Held of Royersford; her sister Cathy Moyer, wife of Kenneth Moyer, Valley View, PA; her brother Dean Ebert of Hegins, PA; her step-son John Long Pyott IV of Birdsboro, PA; and various nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be held on Monday June 27 at 11AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St, Royersford, PA. Officiating will be Joanne's nephew, Joshua Moyer. Friends will be received from 10-11AM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA. Donations can be made in Joanne's name to Manna on Main Street, 713 W. Main St, Lansdale, PA 19446, or St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 211 South Main St, North Wales, PA, 19454.
