JOHN M. BISCOTTI, SR. AGE 78
John M. Biscotti Sr., husband of the late Patricia M. (Cooper) Biscotti, of Phoenixville, PA, died early Sunday morning in the Life Care Hospital of Chester County, West Chester. Born in Bridgeport he was a son of the late Joseph V. and Rose (Gesullo) Biscotti. Mr. Biscotti was a 1949 graduate of Bridgeport High School. He had a lengthy career as a truck driver both long haul and in the local area.
Mr. Biscotti was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church of Bridgeport, and a founding member of St. Valentine's Italian Club of Bridgeport. He also played in the semi-pro football league in Conshohocken the Conshy Steelers. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed the casinos, playing cards, and watching college football. John was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
Mr. Biscotti is survived by 2 daughters, Lucia ``Lucy'' wife of Keith Bean of E. Norriton and Lisa Ann wife of Matthew Shapiro of Phoenixville. A son John M. Jr, husband of Patti Ann (McKannan) Biscotti of King Of Prussia. Four sisters, Julia Carfagno, Josephine Boccella, Theresa DeStefano and Rose Marie Salkowski. Eight Grandchildren, Erin Corcoran, Meghan Gulotta, Katie Bean, Michael, Kathryn, Jessica and Nicholas Biscotti, and Mason Shapiro . He was preceded in death by a grandson Joey Shapiro, 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning December 11, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 500 Ford St. Bridgeport. Officiating will be the Rev. Salvatore J. Pronesti. Interment will be in St. Augustin's Cemetery King of Prussia. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home Inc. Main Street at Fifth Ave., Phoenixville, PA. Also friends will be received on Friday morning at our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church from 9-9:45 A.M.
