John Jacob Bliss, 86, of Limerick, passed away on January 26, 2023 in his sleep. Born August 6, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Alberta Bliss.

He loved to go hunting and fishing. He used to bowl and was an avid Eagles fan. In his younger years, he drove a dragster with his brother Ed Bliss. John loved to go to the mountains with family.

John is survived by one son: Todd Bliss (husband of Melissa); three daughters: Colleen Benner (wife of Mike), Doreen Horning (wife of Brian) and Risa Geihsler (wife of Don). He is also survived by one brother Keith Bliss (husband of Denise). He had fourteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He loved is family.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Virginia J. Bliss; three sons: Vaughn Bliss, Brian Bliss and Bruce Bliss; sister: Dolores Carl; and two brothers: Ed Bliss and William Bliss.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be Chaplain David Duquette. Interment will follow in the Parker Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
