Obituary

John E. "Bud" "Moxie" Mauger, Jr., age 87, husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Krone) Mauger, of North Coventry, PA died early Friday morning, November 9, 2012 in the Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home in Upper Providence, PA. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late John E. Mauger, Sr., and Blanch F. (Fulmer) Mauger. He was a graduate of the North Coventry High School. A veteran, Mr. Mauger served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Mauger worked in the heat treat department for the Superior Tube Company in Collegeville for 32 years before retiring in 1990. He enjoyed hunting at the "Itchy Pines" Camp in Pike County, PA. Mr. Mauger was also an avid antique car parts collector and dealer. He would attend the Hershey Antique Automobile Flea Market, and was a member of the AACA. Mr. Mauger was also a life member of the American Legion in Joanna, PA, and the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Mauger is survived by three children: John E. Mauger, III, husband of Carol (Weltzin) Mauger, of Essex Jct, VT; Elizabeth M. Young, of Elverson, PA; Robert K., husband of Sheila (Luft) Mauger, of Royersford, PA; three siblings: James O. Mauger, of Mt. Penn, PA, William D. Mauger, of Boyertown, PA; Thomas E. Mauger, of Pottstown, PA; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Mauger was pre-deceased by two siblings: Edith P. Mauger and Mary L. Kulp.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the East Coventry Mennonite Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7:00 - 8:30 PM Monday evening or from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
