John M. Carter, age 59, husband of Gail L. (Gotwals) Carter, of North Coventry Township, died Monday afternoon, May 11, 2009 in his home. Born in Wilmington, DE, he was a son of the late Morris and Sue Carter. He was a graduate of the Mt. Pleasant High School in Wilmington. Mr. Carter was a former security guard at the Limerick Generation Station. More recently, he was working at the Cumberland Farms in Audubon. He enjoyed skeet shooting and was an avid reader.

In addition to his wife of 17 years, Mr. Carter is survived by one daughter; Linda A. Landes, one brother James T. (Polly) Carter, of Wilmington, two grandchildren; Austin and Elizabeth Landes, and one niece; Christie Carter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 126 Black Rock Road, Oaks, PA19456 on Tuesday morning, May 19, 2009 at 10:30AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel K. Olsen. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
