John Daniel Doyle, 75, of Kimberton, PA, died on July 29, 2010, at the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Winchester Connecticut on August 14, 1934, he was the only son of Rose and Linford Doyle.

He graduated from Gilbert High School in 1952 and was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and Penn State School of Engineering with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a veteran of the Korean War for which he served as a Sergeant in the 45th Infantry Division. He received the Combat Infantryman's Badge, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

John moved to Pennsylvania in 1960 to work for the Budd Company. From 1978 to the present, he worked for Monsey Products Company/Henry Company as Manager of Plant Facilities. He was a past president of the Kimberton Youth Athletic League, Secretary, Treasurer and Supervisor of East Pikeland Township.

He married Elaine Hope Gallo on August 20, 1955 during Hurricane Dianne. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend Elaine in 1996 after 41 years of marriage. He is survived by his three children, Frances, Geraldine, and John and his wife Barbara. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, John Gallo Doyle and his wife Emily, and Rebecca Ann Elo and her husband Jim, along with his great granddaughter Aubri Anne Doyle. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, 2300 Kimberton Road, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Valley Forge.
