John H. Ellis Jr., age 84, husband of Wanda L. (Hagerich) Ellis, of Spring City, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2019 in the Pottstown Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 7, 1934 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late John and Emma Ellis.

John worked for many years for Penco as a tool and die maker before his retirement. He was also a dedicated member of the Parker Ford Church and in his younger years was very active in church organizations and affiliations. John was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Philadelphia Phillies whenever he had the opportunity. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, puzzles, volleyball, and being outside where you would always find him on his John Deer tractor; but most of all John enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to all and he will be missed by many.

In addition to his loving wife Wanda, John is survived by Two Sons, John C. (Mary Ellen) Ellis, Wesley (Deborah) Crouse; Three Daughters, Mary Jane (Steve) Bresch, Kathy (Dave) Savage, and Kim (Eric) Offner; John is also survived by his 17 loving grandchildren, and many loving great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his three siblings, Mary Chrisman, Ida Mae Derstine, and Robert Ellis; he was also preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Ellis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the calling time for John on Sunday April 14, 2019 from 1:30PM - 2:30PM at the Parker Ford Church, 20 Rinehart Road Pottstown, PA 19465. A memorial service will follow the calling time at 2:30PM. Graveside Service will also be held at the Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, Pennsylvania on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11:00 am.
