John Charles Evans, 82, husband of the late Joan (Skipper) Evans of Boyertown, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, in the Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford. Born in London, England, he was a son of the late Charles and Rita (Amos) Evans. He served in the Royal Marines after World War II.
Mr. Evans traveled extensively throughout the world as an international electronics salesman for Vishay, in Malvern and Hawker Siddeley, in the United Kingdom. He migrated with his family from London to the United States in 1973.
Mr. Evans loved sound and music; he was very social and enjoyed throwing parties. In his retirement, he volunteered at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. He was very proud that he shared his birthday with his two sons.
Mr. Evans is survived by his daughter, Julie E., wife of Christopher Mash, of Royersford, two sons, Paul J. Evans, of West Chester, and Richard C. Evans, of Collegeville, a sister, Joan Thomas, of Cornwall, England, two granddaughters, Hailey and Olivia, and his longtime companion, Annabelle Boalton, of Boyertown.
