John A. Gatlos, age 85, husband of Rose M. (DiNolfi) Gatlos, of Phoenixville, PA, died Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born on August 9, 1932 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Klimcho) Gatlos. He was a 1950 graduate of the Phoenixville High School. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Army in Alaska during the Korean War. Mr. Gatlos worked as a steel worker for Phoenix Steel and Penco in Oaks, PA before retiring in 1992. He was also a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Phoenixville, PA.
In addition to his wife of 65 years, Mr. Gatlos is survived by Daughter, A. Lee, wife of the late Richard Dalasio of Collegeville, PA; Son, John A. Gatlos of Phoenixville, PA; Granddaughter, Nicole L. Dalasio of Collegeville, PA; Three Sisters, Elaine Grubb of Bethlehem, PA; Joan, wife of Kenneth Tulish of Phoenixville, PA, Shirley, wife of Bruce Gerhard of Spring City, PA; John was pre-deceased by Two Sisters, Margaret Nagy, wife of Michael, and Anna Kenyon, wife of Raymond.
John was a life-long member of West End Fire Company, Valley Forge Fire Company, and Kimberton Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Burial will be held in the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:45 am Wednesday at the Church.
