John E. Golden, 73, husband of Catherine E. (Stier) Golden, of Sanatoga, formerly Hackettstown, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in his residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Veronica (Adams) and Francis Golden.

Mr. Golden had been a plant manager for Westinghouse of Philadelphia, PA, Eastern of Springfield, MA, Schultz of New Haven, CT, and Longo of Morris Plains, NJ.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. John enjoyed golf and his time playing softball. He also enjoyed building models, especially for his daughters and granddaughters.

In addition to his loving wife of fifty years, Mr. Golden is survived by his daughters, Jennifer S., wife of Joseph Morales, of Milford, CT and Katharine T., wife of Baran Schultz, of Pottstown, PA; two granddaughters, Isabel and Ella Morales; siblings, Claire, wife of Pasquale Portolese, Veronica Haun, and Joseph Golden; sister-in-law, Margaret Golden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings Maryanne Pitts and Francis Golden.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Road, Limerick, PA, on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Bobbie Hoffman. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Church.
