John "Jack" Jordan McCarraher
(January 29, 1936 - April 3, 2026)

John "Jack" Jordan McCarraher, 90, of Phoenixville, passed peacefully on April 3, 2026, at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Phoenixville, he was the beloved son of the late William James Morgan McCarraher and Hazel (Jordan) McCarraher. He graduated from Phoenixville Area High School, Class of 1954, where he excelled in football, and continued playing at The Pennington School and Wesley College.

Jack began his career working alongside his father at McCarraher's Furniture Store before building a long and dedicated career as an insurance salesman with Phoenix Mutual, retiring in 1992.

He found joy in golf, running, and football, and was recognized in local and regional golf competitions. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a longtime member of the LDS Church.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane (Walsh), on March 12, 2026, and his son, William, in 2022.

He is survived by his six children, eighteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, who carry forward his legacy.

Jack will be remembered as a devoted family man and a steady, caring presence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of the Life of Jack McCarraher will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2530 Stinson Lane, Norristown, PA on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
