John (Jack) Buckley Seber, Sr., of Linfield, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born at Ridley Park Hospital in Delaware County, Jack was the beloved son of Herbert Seber and Agnes (Buckley) Seber of Chester, Pennsylvania. He attended Saint Robert's School in Chester and earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Villanova University. Jack later achieved his Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the U.S. Virgin Islands - a testament to his dedication and expertise in the field.
Jack devoted much of his career to public service through his work at PennDOT, followed by roles in private engineering firms. He also served as Township Engineer for Limerick Township for a decade, where his work left a lasting impact on the community.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth (Walker) Seber; his children: John Seber Jr. and his wife Yvonne (Yerger), Maria (Seber) Blanco and her husband Ricardo Blanco, and Jennifer (Seber Garris) Wall and her husband David Wall. He was a proud grandfather to John Seber III, Elizabeth Seber, Cheyanne Seber, Serena Seber, River Blanco, and Corbin Garris. He is also remembered fondly by many cousins and extended family members.
A private graveside service will be held for family and friends at Limerick Garden of Memories on Friday, October 3, at 2:00 PM. A funeral mass and celebration of life will be held in the spring, with the date to be announced.
Jack will be remembered for his quiet strength, sharp mind, and unwavering commitment to his family and profession. His legacy lives on in the roads he helped build, the lives he touched, and the family he cherished.
