John C. "Jay" Malarkey, age 67, of Apollo Beach, FL, formerly Kimberton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, in his residence.? He was the husband of the late M. Janice (Greenland) Malarkey.? Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary (Malarkey) Malarkey.? ?
Mr. Malarkey was a member of the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, and served in the United States Army.? He was employed as a Pennsylvania State Trooper, then as an officer with PNC Bank, where he was instrumental in the installation of a banking computer system.? He also enjoyed woodworking and craft building.? ?
Mr. Malarkey is survived by daughter Shannon Malarkey, Step-Son Alan S., husband of Caroline A. Gephart, of Spring City, three grandchildren, Danielle, Zachary, and Ryan and great-grandchildren Darien and Brielle.? He was preceded in death by his son, Sean Malarkey and grandson Joseph Malec.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, Gay and Church Street, Phoenixville, on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 1 PM.?
