John W. "Jack" Kandler, age 71, husband of Doris R. (Koenig) Kandler, of Pottstown, PA, died Friday evening, August 15th, 2008 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.? Born in Phoenixville, Mr. Kandler was a son of the late John H., and Avis (Setzler) Kandler.? He lived in the Spring City and Pottstown areas all of his life.? He attended the Spring City High School.? Mr. Kandler was a veteran, serving for the U.S. Navy, during the Korean Conflict.? He worked for the Phoenix Steel Plant for 20 years, then worked as the housekeeping supervisor at the Montgomery County Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Providence.? He enjoyed fresh water bass fishing.?
In addition to his wife of over 51 years, Mr. Kandler is survived by; four daughters; Regina, wife of Thomas Taub, of Missouri, Robin, wife of Wayne Rogan, of Virginia, Jackie, wife of Robert Milinski, of Pottstown, Debra Cooper, of Pottstown, one sister; Judith Duffy, of Leola, PA, one brother; Theodore, husband of Janet Kandler, of Linfield, PA, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.? Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Wednesday morning, August 20th, 2008 at 10AM.? Officiating will be the Rev. Rebecca E. Brenner.? Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA.? Friends will be received Tuesday evening, from 7-8:30PM, or on Wednesday from 9-10AM.?
