John R. Lyle, 70, of Spring City , passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Center, Spring City, PA.
Born in Manayunk, he was a son of the late William and Cora (Lentz) Lyle.? He was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School and served his country honorably in the US Navy.? A pipefitter by trade, he was employed in that field for BF Goodrich and later Occidental Chemical Company.
He was a coach in the Spring-Ford Babe Ruth League and also served as it's Vice President.? He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
John is survived by his children: Wendy Brown, of Phoenixville, Kenneth Lyle, of Glen Allen, VA and Rodger Lyle and ?wife Christine, of Schwenksville; sisters: Molly Reber and husband James, of Halifax and Linda Nicholas, widow of David, of Royersford; brothers: Charles Lyle, of Royersford, Thomas Lyle and wife Jan, of Ocala, FL, David Lyle and wife Linda, of Boyertown, and Robert Lyle and wife Kathy, of Millersburg, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.? He was also preceded in death by a brother, William and former wife Shirley.
??His funeral service will be on Friday at 11 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St. Royersford , PA.? Officiating will be Rev. Paul H. Neff.? Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery .? Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7-9 PM and Friday 9:30 to 11 AM .?
