John Pettingell, age 79, of Spring City, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - King of Prussia. Born on December 17, 1943 in Pensacola, FL, he was a son of the late Winslow L. and Jean (Whitbeck) Pettingell.

While attending Highland Park High School (IL) and Exeter Academy (NH) he took great joy in his proficiency as a high jumper. He attended the University of North Carolina.

John was a faithful member of The Christian Community of Devon. For most of his career he he drove limousine and provided car service, but he also worked for a number of years for Foam Cutting Engineers, and later as a professional masseur. John loved to cook, and he enjoyed making special recipes for potluck dinners.

John is survived by two sisters, Judith Pettingell of Hanover, NH and Winkie Scornavacco of Lake Forest, IL; and his entire Christian Community family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at The Christian Community of Devon, 212 Old Lancaster Road, Devon, PA 19333 on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
