John B. Weaver, 101, of Phoenixville, formerly a long time resident of Royersford, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on April 2, 1918 in Royersford, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Margaret (Bauman) and John Weaver.

John had first been employed at the Royersford Needle Works, followed by the Royersford Foundry, Grubers Knitting Mill and lastly Diamond Glass Co. until his retirement. He was a life member of the Friendship and Humane Fire Companies, Royersford and the Liberty Fire Company, Spring City. He enjoyed crafts and traveling, especially trips to the casinos and Shady Maple. John most enjoyed spending time with his son.

Mr. Weaver is survived by his son: Gary J. Weaver, longtime companion of Laura McKenna, of Phoenixville; granddaughter: Jennifer L. Weaver, of Boyertown; great-grandson: Luke; and nephew: Ralph Kulp, of Sassamansville. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings: Florence Kulp, Ralph Weaver, Ernie Weaver, Stanley Weaver, Dorothy Weaver & Phyllis Weaver.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Centennial Lutheran Church, Hares Hill and Coldstream Roads, Kimberton, Pennsylvania. Officiating will be the Rev. Gerald L. Tancredi. Interment will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Church.
