John William Wojcik, husband of Giovina "Julia" (DeLizza) Wojcik, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late John and Valeria (Pszczolkowska) Wojcik.
Mr. Wojcik was a graduate of North East High School in Philadelphia, and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Royersford, and of the Briarcliffe American Legion Post 761. He retired from Smith-Kline Pharmaceuticals in 1986 as a warehouse manager. Mr. Wojcik was an avid sports fan, contending for a roster spot on the 1946 Philadelphia Phillies, and playing softball throughout his entire life. He enjoyed visiting the horse tracks and playing the lottery.
Mr. Wojcik is survived by one daughter, Gigi, wife of Jim Wigley of Royersford, PA; two sons, John H., husband of MaryAnn Wojcik of Glenolden, PA, and Paul W. Wojcik of Winter Park, FL; Six Granddaughters, Andrea, wife of Ken Stark, Amy L. Wojcik, Mary E. Wojcik, Theresa, wife of Carter Munroe, Molly, wife of Ian Thomas, Katrina Wojcik; three grandsons, John Wojcik, Matthew Wojcik and Jared Wigley; two great-grandsons, Brady and Connor; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Walnut Street and Lewis Road, Royersford, PA 19468 on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Peter J. DiMaria. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. Friends will be received at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, and on Monday morning at the church from 8:30-10:15 AM.
