Joseph M. Bartoletti Jr., age 68, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 at home. Born on December 19, 1955 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was a son of the late Jean (Gatrone) and Joseph M. Bartoletti Sr.
Joseph was a 1973 graduate of the Wyoming Area High School. He furthered his studies with a focus in fashion at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in New York City, graduating in 1975. Growing up, he was raised in the Catholic faith, and faithfully served as an altar boy.
Joseph's career in fashion, specifically designing children's dresses, began at Charming Shoppes in Bristol, PA. He went on to work for Montgomery Ward in New York and Chicago and Kahn Lucas Lancaster, Inc. His work took him around the world from Los Angeles, to Bali, China, Italy, and more. One of his beautiful dress designs earned an award from The Council of Fashion Designers of America.
Joseph enjoyed antiquing, visiting museums, seeing Broadway shows, and watching old Hollywood movies. He loved making things beautiful, from flower arranging, to making jewelry, painting, and home decor. Most of all, however, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his three grandchildren, who brought him the greatest joy.
Joseph is survived by two children, Ryan, husband of Charmain Bartoletti and Ashley, wife of Mark Smith and their mother, the late Donna Dasch; his three loving grandchildren, Harrison (8), Theodore (5), and Vivienne (5); his sister, Karen, wife of Frank Schall; and his nephew, Jonathan Schall.
