Joseph Michinock, age 79, husband of the late Mary D. (Ahern) Michinock, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on February 11, 1944 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Frank C. and Kathryn E. (Rutter) Michinock.
Mr. Michnock was a 1961 graduate of Phoenixville High School. He started his career at Jerry's Market, then was the manager of the A&P in Phoenixville before retiring from SuperFresh at the age of 63.
Mr. Michinock went to the YMCA everyday, and he was an avid and crazy sports fan. He enthusiastically cheered on his Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers. He was known around the neighborhood for his magnificent holiday displays and as a friend to anyone. He was friendly, he brought out the best in others, and he was always willing to take anyone to any appointment or help in any way he could.
Mr. Michinock is survived by one sister, Jeanette Buski; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Kathryn Wilson, Charles Michinock, and Marion Bauer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately in the St. Monica Catholic Church Cemetery, Berwyn. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to a charity of your choosing or by way of a mass card.
