Joseph J. Osisek, Jr., 73, of Schuylkill Township, died early Tuesday morning at? his home.? He was the husband of Mary J. (Yuengling) Osisek.? He was born in Phoenixville on October 25, 1934 to the late Joseph J., Sr. and Nellie (Sondek) Osisek.? Joseph was a member of Phoenixville High School's Class of 1953.?
?As a young adult he played in the Twilight Baseball League along with his father.? At the same time he bowled in Friendship #2 Bowling team where he served as it's captain.? In addition to coaching Phoenixville Marion Youth Club Football, he was also a member of Friendship Fire Company #2, Phoenixville Old Timers Organization, lifetime member of the Phoenixville Moose Lodge and supporting member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.? He was formerly employed by Martin Century Farms, Sealtest Foods and Wonder Bread and was also a retired member of Teamsters Local 463.?
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.? The things he cherished most were spending time with his family and his English Bulldogs, Maggie and Winston.? In addition to his wife of fifty-two years, he is survived by daughter, Kathryne M. Peterson, of Phoenixville; sons, Richard F. and wife Sandra, of Stevens, PA, ?Joseph J. III and wife Trudy, and David M. Osisek, both of Phoenixville; sister, Barbara Ann Yuengling and husband Herman; brothers, Edmund M. Osisek, and his wife Lorraine,? and Kennth M. Osisek, and wife, Eleanor, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.?? He was also preceded in death by a brother Richard.? His funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 148 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA.? Officiating will be Rev. Michael W. Rzonca.? Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.? A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 7 till 8:30 PM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.? There will be no viewing on Monday morning at the funeral home.?
