Joseph Francis Powderly III, of Royersford, PA, and formerly Upper Darby, PA, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. Born on September 11, 1956, he was a son of the late Barbara Patricia (nee Brady) and Joseph Francis Powderly Jr.

Joe worked for over 40 years as an employee of ACME Markets. He was a lover of Philadelphia sports, golf, his dog: Bailey and coaching baseball, where he served as president of the Babe Ruth League and the Spring-Ford Little League, at one point.

He was loved by many people including his wife: Kathleen (nee Houpt); his children: Joseph (Elizabeth), Megan, and Deborah Pursel Nattle (Joseph); his grandchildren: Marrah, Riley, Trey, Harper, Praetorian, and Auroralyn; his siblings: Donna (the late James) Powderly Reeves, James Powderly, Pamela (Albert) Powderly Sheffer, Michele (the late Howard) Powderly Castagna, Kimberly Powderly and Michael Powderly; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be the Pastor Tom Rivera. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am.
