Joseph Riley, 79, of Phoenixville, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 7, 2021. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Joseph T. and Mary (Hilferty) Riley. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Humphries) Riley with whom he shared 53 loving years of marriage.

Joseph was a devout parishioner of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Phoenixville. Joseph honorably served his country in the Nation Guard from 1963 to 1969 He was a plasterer by trade and a member of Plasterer's Union, Local 8. In his free time, he could be found scratching lottery tickets, watching the Game Show Network, rooting for Philadelphia sports teams, and attending his grandkids sporting events. He was an extremely devoted father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen (Humphries) Riley, he is survived by his children; Brian Riley, husband of Angela, of Landsdale, Carolyn Sollenberger, of Greencastle, and Matthew Riley, husband of Julie, of Phoenixville, his sisters; Elizabeth Quinn, of Phoenixville, and Rosalie Calkins, of Aston, and his eight grandchildren; Keira, Maeve, Emma, Nathan, Catherine, Tess, Vincent, and Claire. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings; Teresa and Leo.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, from 9:30-10:30am, at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 610 Main Street, Phoenixville. Following the visitation, a mass beginning at 11am will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 502 Main St, Phoenixville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Joseph’s name to The ALS Association, Development Department 1275 K Street, NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005.
