Joyanne Chestnut, 56, of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville. Born on July 9, 1964 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Carmen J. Chestnut and the late Maryanne (Dominello) Hankins.

A 1982 graduate of Spring-Ford High School, Joyanne received her Bachelors of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University. She had been employed for Prudential Insurance. She later obtained Masters Degrees from West Chester University, Pennsylvania State University and Duquesne University. She had an immense love for music and had written 12 songs.

Joyanne is survived by her brothers, Joseph C. Chestnut, and his wife Nancy, of Loris, SC and Paul R. Chestnut, and his wife Annamarie, of Schwenksville, PA; nieces and nephews: Warren Mikesell of Clearfield, PA, Breanne Kipple, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Cooper Chestnut, of Schwenksville, PA and Zoey Chestnut, of Schwenksville, PA; great-niece: Willoe Mikesell; great-nephews: Jackson and James Kipple; and aunt: Connie Leube, of New York, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father: Ralph Hankins; and one nephew: Michael Mikesell.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyanne's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
