Joyce Babin, age 65, beloved Mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away on Sunday morning, June 5, 2011, surrounded by family after a valiant battle with leukemia. Born in Philadelphia, she was the only daughter of Valerie and the late Gabriel Richards. The consummate student, Joyce attended Sacred Heart School in Royersford, Mount St Joseph Academy, and St Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN. Joyce was a catholic school teacher for over thirty years, teaching at St Peter's school in Pottstown and St Gabriel's Hall in Audubon, PA, later going on to become principal of St Peter's/Blessed Theresa of Calcutta. Joyce was a selfless woman, always putting the needs of others above her own, and was the rock of her family. The light in this world is a lot dimmer without her radiance.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Babin is survived by three daughters; Jennifer, wife of Jason Tornetta, of Douglassville, PA, Jessica Babin, of Royersford, Missie Babin, wife of Christopher Boughter, of Royersford, one brother; Thomas Richards, of Pottstown, three grandchildren; Destiny Babin, Jayda Tornetta, Emerson Boughter, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Babin was pre-deceased by one brother; Jack Richards.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday morning, June 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the St. Al's cemetery, Pottstown, PA. Friends will be received Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA, or from 9:00 - 9:45 AM Thursday morning at the Church.
