Joyce E. (Kirtner) Derstine, age 78, of Limerick, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 in the Manatawny Manor. Born in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Laura (Berry) Kirtner.

Joyce was a graduate of Spring City High School. She worked as a secretary for the Western Montgomery County Technical School. She had a passion for traveling, taking cruises and trips to Disney World. Joyce enjoyed reading, puzzles, crafts, needleworks, and crocheting afghans. She cherished her time spent with friends and her family.

Joyce is survived by one daughter, Joana Levengood, companion of Lee Zagorski of Limerick; two grandchildren, Andrew and Abby Levengood; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, and Kristi; three nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Kirtner, husband of Evelyn DeLong of Birdsboro.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Road, Limerick, PA 19468 on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Those attending are requested to wear red, Joyce's favorite color. Officiating will be Bobbie Hoffman. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. A visitation will take place from 9:30-10:45 AM in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church at the above address.
