Joyce Eileen Fobia, age 76, of Spring City, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in the Sanatoga Center, Pottstown, PA. Born on January 27, 1947 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Eva Armedia (Rhoads) Zerr.

Joyce was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School, where she was active in the Library Club and known for her good humor and friendliness. She also attended beauty school. Joyce worked as an occupational therapist, initially at the Pennhurst State Hospital prior to retiring from the Haverford State Hospital.

Joyce was a faithful member of the Pottstown First Church of the Brethren. She was wholly community and service oriented, often placing others ahead of herself and helping as much as possible. She enjoyed watching her soap operas each day. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, often doting on her grandchildren, especially around the holidays.

She was a life member of the Limerick Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she assisted with bingo meals each week.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Robert J. Jr., husband of Patti Fobia of East Vincent and Tracey J., husband of Heather Fobia of North Coventry; loving Gam to four grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole, wife of Tim Walter, Robert Charles Fobia, Joshua Alan Fobia, and Samantha Rae, wife of Justin Fittin; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Maisy, Chloe, and Gabriel. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Pastor Dawn Lare. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Wednesday morning. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Pottstown First Church of the Brethren, 371 N. York Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
