Joyce H. Vanden Eeden, 54, of Phoenixville, died suddenly on Friday, February 13, 2009 after being taken to Phoenixville Hospital. She was the wife of Alexander "Sandy" Vanden Eeden.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Roulston) Kerstetter. She was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and was last employed by Unisys at Paoli.

She loved animals and the fairy Anastasia. She attended St. Peter United Church of Christ, Knauertown, PA.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: Christina Hartman and husband Robert, of Pottstown and Seth J. Vanden Eeden at home. There are also two sisters: Ruthann Simpson and her husband Donald, of Blackstone, MA and Bernice Moser and her husband Allen, of Douglassville.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at St. Peter-Knauertown United Church of Christ, 1920 Ridge Rd. (Rt. 23) Pottstown, PA 19465 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Milton E. Detterline.
