Judie L. (Buckwalter) Grilli, of Boyertown, PA died on Thursday evening at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center after a recent illness. She was 71.

She was born in Phoenixville, an only child of Stauffer S. Buckwalter and Catherine (Deery) Buckwalter Gatta. Judie attended Spring-Ford Schools and graduated from Ellis School for Girls in Newtown Square. She was employed for many years in the food service industry, working at Dunn's Row Inn, Washington Inn and The Halfway House respectively.

Judie enjoyed shopping, reading, traveling and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandson.

She was the beloved mother to Kathie Mithchell, wife of Thomas, of Pottstown; Kendie Hartenstine, of Springfield; James Grilli, of Boyertown; and Nicholas B. Grilli, of Pottstown. She was a loving grandmother to: Jared S. Ludy, Derek T.Cressman, husband of Jamie, James Grilli Jr., Anna M. Grilli, and Nathan P. Grilli. She was also the proud great-grandmother to Lane Ludy.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Lisa Martin.
