June L. Connelly's Obituary
June L. Connelly, age 82, wife of the late Robert J. Connelly, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on May 22, 1941 in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Smith) Faust.
June was a 1959 graduate of Schwenksville High School. She worked as a Paramedic for several emergency service organizations, including Friendship Fire Company in Royersford and Trappe Ambulance, where she served as a past Chief of the Ambulance Division. She also was a 20-year member of Perkiomen Township Fire Company, where she was the Chair of the Sunshine Committee and was a big contributor at the annual car show.
Following her retirement as a Paramedic, she kept busy as a water sports instructor at the Spring Valley YMCA and as a CPR instructor for countless local organizations.
June loved traveling and spending time outdoors and at the beach, especially the Outer Banks, where along with her husband she enjoyed surf fishing. She was an avid baker, and she enjoyed sharing her baked goods with others. She served as the Vice President of her homeowners' associations, and she helped run the development's pool. She loved all of her dachshunds over the years, including her current dog, Ghettel.
She exuded eternal happiness and pure optimism throughout her entire life, and she always had a wide smile on her face.
Mrs. Connelly is survived by three sons, Kevin L., husband of Patti Faulkner, Randy T. Faulkner, and Robert Matthew Faulkner; one brother, Thomas, husband of Barbara Faust; and two nieces, Kim Faust-Crnkovic and Wendy Faust.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Trappe Fire Company, 20 W. Fifth Avenue,
Trappe, PA 19426, to the Perkiomen Township Fire Company, 485 Gravel Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426, or the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike, P.O. Box 222, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
