June Miller Mac Dade peacefully departed our world after 101 years of life richly lived in devotion, service and kindness. June was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Bill Mac Dade, who died in 2013. Together they raised four children and celebrated 65 years of marriage and a lifetime of adventures. June was born on July 31, 1923 in West Pittston, PA to Edna and Charles Miller. She attended East Stroudsburg State College graduating with honors and excelling in field hockey, softball and basketball which she captained. After graduation June taught physical education at Maplewood High School in NJ and later on in life was Court Clerk for the President Judge of Montgomery County. Always a devout Christian, June spent her lifetime in service to her church and the community. She was very active with the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, Ocean Grove Ladies Auxiliary, Phoenixville Hospital Auxiliary, as well as a Girl Scout leader and tour guide for the Valley Forge Historical Society. A 100th birthday party was recently held for her attended by her family and her two "adopted" sons, Scott Rasmussen and David Hinchliffe. She was honored with a congratulatory letter from King Charles III of the United Kingdom, had a flag flown in her honor at the White House and received a Certificate of Achievement from the President of East Stroudsburg University. In addition June received congratulations from the announcers on a Phillies broadcast that evening.

June loved playing bridge, doing puzzles, and following her Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies. She touched the lives of all who knew her and she will be remembered fondly for her kindness and generosity.

June was predeceased by her brothers, Carl "Ferris" and Albert Miller. She is survived by her four children, Sue (Ed) Whitman, Myrtle Beach SC; Cheryl Mac Dade, Clarks Summit PA; William (Lee Anne) Mac Dade III, Dallas TX, and Nancy (Jack) Ingram, Richfield NC; Grandchildren, Jason (Salley) Whitman, Mickey (Amy) Whitman, and Jeni Whitman; Chelsea (Daniel) Wyman and Willie (Livvy) Mac Dade IV; William, Charles, and Elizabeth Ingram; and Great Grandchildren, Dade and Lawson Whitman, Emma and Ava Whitman, and Finnley Wyman.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Cremation is being handled by Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville.
