Obituary

Kaidin P. McPhillips, 18, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Reading Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on June 25, 2001 in Phoenixville, PA, the son of Patrick M. McPhillips and Joanne Surderski.

Kaidin was a 2019 graduate from Owen J. Roberts High School and was in his second semester at Montgomery County Community College. He was intrigued by the field of psychology. He made the best of anything, enjoyed good food, great friends and chill times. He was a kindhearted empathetic soul, who was honest to a fault, and he was someone you could go to for anything. He always put others first, which was evident until the very end, when he became an organ donor. He was all about gaming, hanging out with his friends, listening to many different genres of music and showing off his slick moves, while dancing in the car with his cousins. Kaidin surrounded himself with positivity, did not care for mean people, loved to travel and wanted to see the world.

Kaidin was adored by his Aunt Colleen and Uncle Dan, (Colleen, wife of Daniel McDonough Jr. of Pottstown) and his cousins/sisters, Zaria and Keira McDonough of Pottstown. He leaves behind his baby sister, Penelope Hope McPhillips; his uncle, Rich McPhillips Jr. of Phoenixville; his grandfather, Rich McPhillips Sr. of Phoenixville; his MomMom, Debbie and her husband Bobby Grimes of St. Petersburg, FL; his PopPop, Robert Surderski of Royersford; and, his late great-grandmother Surderski. Kaidin was also survived by numerous loving family members and a large group of close friends, whom Kaidin referred to as his boys and loved like family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kaidin's celebration of life at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., which is located at 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
