Obituary

Karl W. Latshaw, 79. of Barto, PA passed away suddenly on March 30, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Darlene F. (Reigner) Latshaw.
Born on July 11, 1938 in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Norman and Mabel (Weller) Latshaw. Karl was an Army veteran serving from 1958-1960. He was a self-employed carpenter and worked for ten years in the maintenance department of Boyertown Area School District.
Karl was a dedicated member of Calvary UCC in Barto. He utilized his woodworking talents to craft pieces for the church such as the communion table. He was also a life member of Bally, Bechtelsville and Sassamansville Fire Companies. He enjoyed restoring and showing his collection of tractors and belonged to the East Central PA Two Cylinder Club and Pikeville Rod and Gun Club. Karl also loved his cabin in Wellsboro where he would spend time four wheeling with his grandchildren, and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Stacey L., wife of Edward T. Miller, of Boyertown; grandchildren: Karlynn and Jacob Miller; brother, Lee, husband of Jean Latshaw, of Sassamansville and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Earl Latshaw and Esther Derr.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary UCC, 1231 Rt. 100, Barto, PA 19504 on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Linda L. Kozlowski and Rev. Elmer B. Reinhold. Visitation will be held from 10-11 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Karl Latshaw Memorial Fund, C/O Phoenixville Federal Savings Bank, 70 N. Lewis Road, Royersford, PA 19468.
